 These will being to get here first week of NOVEMBER. 
according to the tradition, they are supposed to be set out the day before Thanksgiving. 

Legend has it: The elf’s fly from the north pole between Thanksgiving & December 1st. The elf’s job is to help watch your children for Santa. They then fly back every night to the North Pole and report to Santa If your child has been naughty or nice! 
Every day they come back into a new place in the house & sometimes these tricky elf’s can be hiding or get into a bit of a mess, but never on purpose 😝

The ONLY rule in having an elf in your home is children are to NEVER , EVER touch the elf or ELSE….. THEY LOSE THEIR MAGIC. And won’t have enough to fly back To the North Pole ☹️ it takes them a whole day & night to get their magic back!
